In early 2025, onsemi proposed acquiring Allegro for $35.10 per share in cash.
Later, onsemi withdrew the pursuit after Allegro’s board rejected it; Reuters framed the withdrawn offer at about $6.9B.
Allegro publicly confirmed the withdrawal and said the proposals were inadequate.

Let’s be honest: betting on a buyout is not a strategy. It’s a lottery ticket.
